PetMeds partnered with RBM to improve its digital prescription delivery system and to provide a more efficient, end-user-friendly e-commerce platform. We took their ATG platform to the next level, resolved longstanding operational challenges, and added features that reduced manual work and enabled faster order processing. The outcome was a more cohesive and safer virtual ecosystem that aligns with PetMeds’ mission to provide accessible pet care.
PetMeds is a licensed pet pharmacy committed to becoming “Your Trusted Pet Health Expert,” offering prescription medications, health essentials, food, and wellness products directly to consumers across the U.S. With nearly three decades of experience in the pet-care space, the company serves dogs, cats and horses and partners with veterinarians and wellness experts to ensure safe, reliable, and accessible care.

The Oracle ATG Commerce solution deployed by PetMeds needed serious stabilization due to bugs, performance issues, and unreliable integration points. These weaknesses slowed prescription fulfillment and inhibited the team’s ability to implement improvements quickly and safely.
The main problems were to enhance operational consistency, increase system performance, and strengthen the platform to facilitate advanced integrations.
The client has three priorities with which we were involved:
Focus on eliminating current bugs and performance bottlenecks to ensure a stable, efficient platform for Oracle ATG Commerce.
Improve the existing fulfillment process to ensure it is quicker and less error-prone when handling prescriptions.
Forge strong, flexible integration points to reliably connect the platform to external veterinary APIs.
PetMeds engaged us to get their ATG platform up and running and help them address the ongoing challenges slowing prescription fulfillment. We intervened without introducing any additional overhead and worked on the particularly important areas: speed, reliability, and improved workflows.
After we identified the bottlenecks, we developed a solution focused on making operations easier, strengthening integrations, and delivering the fast, reliable experience PetMeds’ customers desired.
